Over the years, Brandy’s career path led her through a variety of industries, including healthcare, construction, retail, restaurant, and management. In 2011, Brandy began her career in insurance as a traveling benefits consultant. A few years later, she became a stay-at-home mother to foster and adopt local children from the foster care system. She returned to Ellis Insurance in 2019 as the agency coordinator, a position well suited to her background in managing people and projects. In 2021, she took a promotion to be the agency’s first Commercial Lines Account Executive and continues to grow the commercial insurance department.

When Brandy is not working, she can usually be found at the dojo. Four of her nine children take martial arts classes, both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Karate. When she is not chauffeuring to practice, tournaments, or doctor’s appointments, she can be found doing home improvement projects or folding laundry– after all, she does have a family of eleven! Brandy is an outspoken advocate for foster care. She regularly answers questions that new foster parents have about the complex system and guides them on what to expect as new foster parents.
